A logical framework approach

Project Rosling follows a logical framework approach which is an analytical process and set of tools for project planning and management. It involves objective and strategy setting, an intervention logic and is used to implement, monitor and evaluate projects.
The approach consists of following elements:

  • Activities: tasks that will transform inputs into outputs;
  • Outputs: products and services created;
  • Outcomes: direct effect on beneficiaries;
  • Impact: lasting change in society.

Activities and outputs come directly from the project itself, while outcomes and impact are also influenced by other factors and are consequently harder to measure. As such, in the frame of Project Rosling, only outputs will be measured thanks to indicators.
