Since its launch, the Unlocking the Power of Data Initiative has sought to bring together the data and statistics community and a diverse group of stakeholders to improve data ecosystems and provide the information needed for an evidence-based understanding of the world. Thanks to the dedication of numerous partners and strong public interest, the project has reached several major milestones and key objectives. This success has laid the groundwork for future efforts by fostering stronger connections among stakeholders and developing our shared understanding of challenges in the field of data and statistics.

The project is currently paused to allow time to review its objectives in light of new developments and changing needs. A thorough review will be undertaken to determine the future of the project.

The website and some of the existing content will remain online. Please note that we have suspended our X (formerly Twitter) account. In future, official updates will be posted exclusively on the Federal Statistical Office’s accounts.
